Reviews
We were treated like low class citizens, with snarky passive aggressive comments and eye rolls, mostly by the staff at the reception and running the restaurant. I understand that a group of a film crew is not the usual target group for their fancy taste, but we too paid the extremely high prices for the rooms, followed the dresscode and behaved politely.
They accepted a booking with a dog with a surcharge of 18 euros per night, but you can't really take the dog with you anywhere in the hotel except the room, and they were very rude about it, every day.
The maisonettes are nice (and I bet also updated after a lot of review comments here about outdated interior), but there were many stains in the carpet and moisture damage on the walls. Many items are broken, like our towel hanger and night lamps that detach from the wall as you touch them. Very little space to hang anything.
The dinner restaurant is pretentious, extremely high prices with great ideas for the dishes but prepared without attention: schnitzel was the greasiest and wettest I've ever had, and came with a tiny side of overcooked potatoes and a 26 euro price tag. When we ate in a bigger group, some didn't get bread, most didn't get the spreads that usually come with it, some dishes lacked ingredients. I bet they were understaffed.
Not a children friendly place, no splashing or playing allowed in the pool.
Cleaning staff was extremely kind and friendly. We liked the breakfast, though most of the fresh and warm stuff was out, no matter what time you went to eat. I must give kudos to the owner lady, who made me a little breakfast takeaway bag when I told I'd be leaving for work before the breakfast started, that was very kind. The garage was a really good idea, worked, there was space. Location of the place is great. Spa looks really nice and clean.
The owner of Hotel Rauter, Michael Obwexer, threatens you when you make a review not favourable to the hotel. March 20th, 2020 he sent an email to me and threatened with legal actions if I don’t remove my review at Tripadvisor.
Beautiful and big rooms, delicious food in restaurant, spa area is amazing, service is very nice and parking is in garage. Top

Great place, very friendly staff, excellent views, exquisite food and many more... We will come back!
Nice hotel in the middle of town. Fine dining restaurant. Rich breakfast buffet. The furnishings in the rooms are solid, a bit old, but everything is of very high quality. My room was very large.
Very friendly staff, free upgrade, underground parking access. Fantastically beautiful rooms, ambience in general. Spa area completely sufficient, free sauna, steam sauna and infrared.
We were lucky that there were hardly any guests there.
Breakfast was excellent. Diverse, regional and large time period.
All in all, not cheap, but very relaxing
Unfortunately, the bar was only open until 10 p.m. and there were no cocktails or long drinks other than gin variants
I used the hotel for overnight stays during my ski vacation.
The hotel is a bit older, but the rooms are clean and well maintained. The personnel is very friendly and courteous.
The price of 496€ for 7 nights was okay. I reserved it through a large, well-known booking site and everything worked out great.
Breakfast was included. It had everything you would expect from a good breakfast. There are rolls, bread, cornflakes, scrambled eggs with bacon, lots of cold cuts, fruit (fresh and dried), muesli, etc. I also found the coffee very good, it wasn't as watery as in some other hotels.
The SPA area was also included in the price. The indoor pool was perfectly adequate for 4 or 5 strokes, but is past its best. The sauna area looked very new from the outside.
